Falling

I'm back,
Exams, summer and other generic excuses have restricted my general life never mind updating my blog. But now all of that has passed I can continue to regularly update.
Moving on...'fall'-or autumn as we call it over here in the UK-has to be my favourite time of year (well joint first with winter) so over the past month or so I have been enjoying all of the things that come with autumn and making note along the way.

1. Yankee Candle - Apple and Pine Needle
Too Early? i know i know but the smell of a christmas tree is    impossible to resist at any point this side of summer.
P.S 50% off sale at yankee candle!

2. Nars - Pure Matte Lipstick(Moscow)
I gravitate towards the odd darker lip but add a matte and        moisturising formula and i can almost guarantee i'll be          wearing it. Coming in at £18.50 it is on the pricey end but      is so worth it.
3. Chanel - CC Cream
For those of us with dry skin finding a foundation can be        tough, but i think i've found it. Offering a sheer coverage      and natural glow it definitely battles the autumn weather. I
did however take a painful gulp when £41 appeared on the          receipt.
4. Nails Inc - Gel Polish(Porchester Square)
When choosing what colour to paint my nails, I can never go
wrong with nude and this gel effect makes it look like you
went to get them done when in fact-if you're like me-you
threw on a quick coat whilst waiting for he bus.
5. Jack Wills - The Lynford Coat
This is the perfect coat for autumn, offering both warmth and
everyday style, suitable for both day and night. Currently on
sale for £89 from £159 but is definitely an investment for
   years to come.
6. Pull & Bear - The Ankle Boot
The perfect boot however being tall anyway the heel is a tad
too high for everyday but who cares? Okay, so their not
actually leather and the sole isn't wooden but at £49.99?
   Bargain.

Let me know if you like these seasonal posts.

What are you falling for?

An Insight: Music

I''m planning a larger post over the next couple of days however for now to keep you all ticking over, I have compiled a small list consisting of a fraction of my favorite music at the moment. I really do recommend you give them all a listen!
1. San Cisco, Beach-EP
I  have been following this band for a while and my love for them has only grown. This small EP consists of four beautiful songs perfect for this summer by the pool or out in the garden.

2. Tom Law, Dropping In-EP
This youtube-born singer is so unique, seriously if you have not already I recommend you download his music and subscribe to him on youtube asap!

3. Arctic Monkeys, Suck It and See
My devotion to this band has span over many years and continues to this day, words fail to describe them, just WOW.

4. Jonathan Clay, Heart On Fire
This song was featured in the film "LOL", its gentle, sweet and filled with romance.

What are your favorite artists at the moment?

My Summer Essentials: Swimwear

The time is upon us where at some point over the next couple of months most of us will have to bite the bullet, bare some flesh and get into some swimwear. For a lucky few the idea of walking around in a swimsuit doesn't faze them in the slightest however the reality is that most of us dread the idea, so to help partially overcome the fear, shopping for a flattering piece of swimwear can contribute one hell of a lot in boosting confidence and luckily for us they now come in all shapes and sizes.
Below I have put together some of my favorite stand-out pieces which i feel cater for a wide variety.
1. Motel Scoop Back Swimsuit
2. ASOS Curve Fringed Swimsuit

Swimsuits are a safer option to baring all in a bikini and these have to be my top two! The Motel swimsuit boasts simplicity flattering a figure whilst the ASOS Curve swimsuit bursts with colour, providing some modesty with fringe detail.

3. River Island Coachella Fringed Kimono
4. ASOS Skater Dress

Cover-ups are an essential part of my summer wardrobe as they can vary from being warn at the beach or by the pool to going to dinner. The 'boho' kimono from RI screams festival-chic but I think could be worn wherever and this simple skater dress from one again the ASOS Curve collection is sheer and flattering.

4. Topshop Floral Underwired Bikini
5. Miss Selfridge Fringed Bikini

So the daring of all - bar baring all - is the bikini, the first from topshop may not leave your tummy with the best tan but i think it's just adorable so is worth it entirely! This miss selfridge piece is more daring but the combination of the vibrant red and the fringing works perfectly.

On that note, these are all of my swimwear essentials. I hope you had a good read of my first post. All requests and comments are welcome.
